Resume

Operations background, self-taught engineer. Led process modernization across a $600M+ regulatory operation at Capital One. Built and open-sourced AI infrastructure -- model routing, semantic memory, cognitive safety tooling -- to solve problems the existing tools didn't cover. Business degree gave me stakeholder fluency. Building gave me technical depth. Looking for a role where both matter.

Experience

Capital One -- Senior Process Manager, Card Legal Recoveries Operations

June 2025 -- Present | Richmond, VA
  • Built the monitoring system for a $600M+ file exchange network -- 300+ daily regulatory transmissions, no unified failure tracking. Rapid prototype (SQL/Sheets/Looker) evolved into automated anomaly detection. Reduced manual monitoring by 78%.
  • Resolved a 20,000+ account logic failure while the Data team was backlogged 6+ weeks. Built an investigative SQL framework, isolated root cause, remediated accounts, documented the failure taxonomy.
  • Zero transmission errors during $35B Discover merger integration. Owned the Systems Integration Guide -- caught specification failures with Engineering and vendor partners before production cutover.
  • Authored a 5-month modernization roadmap -- dependency sequencing, stakeholder gates, rollback protocols. Full visibility for leadership before resource commitment.
  • Self-learned infrastructure tooling (Splunk, Postgres, JSON parsing) to close a gap between Process and Engineering. Built a real-time validation layer. Unblocked 6 months of stalled monitoring work.
  • Automated business reviews across 3 teams and 6 operational vectors. Standardized one-pagers now used by department leaders three levels up for quarterly reviews.
  • Operationalized Gemini as a structured reporting tool before the org had an AI playbook. Scoped instruction sets with validated formulas. Operational AI, not conversational.

Independent Engineering -- Open Source

June 2025 -- Present

Building tools to solve problems I keep hitting at work -- privacy, cost, context loss, vendor lock-in. Teaching myself the engineering. Everything is open-source, live, and verifiable.

  • Shipped a resume analysis platform end-to-end -- live at reframed.works. Stripe payments, magic-link auth, streaming analysis. 34 API routes, multi-provider routing with fallback chains, voice fingerprinting, 14 industry format profiles. Sole developer, architecture through deployment.
  • Built a local-first AI desktop application (Electron, React, Node.js) -- chat, terminal, notes, knowledge graph. 50+ IPC channels, 20 backend modules. Five-stage post-chat pipeline: awareness detection, summarization, embeddings, knowledge graph, auto-extraction. Supports air-gapped local inference.
  • Designed a model routing engine -- open-source TypeScript package. Tier-based dispatch across Anthropic, OpenAI, and Ollama. Intent detection, SSE normalization, cost optimization (40-60% reduction).
  • Built a semantic memory system (SQLite/FTS5) with hierarchical compression. Shipped as an MCP server with 12 tools. Works with Claude Desktop, Cursor, and any MCP client.
  • Built cognitive safety tooling -- reframe detection across 7 influence types and 8 identity dimensions, awareness-trap detection for recurring unresolved patterns. Integrated into the desktop pipeline. Local-only.

Apple Federal Credit Union -- Branch Operations Administrator

January 2020 -- May 2025 | Fairfax, VA
  • Promoted four times in five years -- teller to enterprise support across 25 branches during a major merger. Completed bachelor's degree concurrently.
  • Built compliance tracking infrastructure -- Power BI dashboards for VP-level reporting, regulatory documentation (NCUA, CFPB). Reduced complaint response cycles by 50%.
  • Designed a branch-wide modernization roadmap -- presented to the CEO with VP and SVP backing. Approved and moved into active implementation.
